Program Overview
Glow & Grow Academy combines entrepreneurship, financial literacy, leadership, creativity, and self-care through hands-on product creation. Participants build real confidence while learning how ideas become businesses — developing products, planning, pricing, branding, marketing, and pitching their own ideas along the way.
Every lesson pairs a hands-on product-making activity with a core business lesson, so girls leave each session with something they made and something they learned.

The Six Core Lessons
Basics of Business
An introduction to Sydney and Oatmeal’s Naturals, and the foundational ideas every business starts with: what a business is, what a product is, and what it means to be an entrepreneur.
Finances
How money actually works in a business — revenue vs. profit, cost of goods sold, and how to price a product with confidence.
Branding / Business Identity
Building a brand from scratch: choosing a business name, sketching a logo, and writing a tagline — brought to life by making and labeling your own bath salts.
Marketing
How to tell people about your business and get them excited to buy — through hands-on chapstick-making and a real marketing plan.
Self-Care & Mental Health
Why rest and mental health matter when you're building something — through hands-on body scrub and body butter making.
Business Pitch / Presentation
Pitch Day — the pitch formula is scaffolded across earlier lessons, so girls arrive ready to present their business idea with confidence. The program closes with a certificate of completion.
Age-Tailored Teaching
Same lesson, same product, different delivery:
- Ages 11–14: simpler language, more relatable examples, concepts broken into more steps, and more visuals — often starting with the finished result before explaining how it’s built.
- Ages 15–17: more advanced detail, deeper discussion questions, and more polish — building on the same core framework.
